Adrift on luminous white sands, simplicity and setting reign at Adaaran Club Rannalhi. The nearby dive sites are outstanding, and turtles and nurse sharks are often seen on the house reef. Windsurf off the beach, take a sunrise shark spotting cruise and wind your way through forest for a frangipani body glow at the spa. Upgrade to a water bungalow and slip straight into the ocean day or night.
With sand underfoot almost wherever you go and a wildly verdant interior at Adaaran Club Rannalhi, you may feel as if you’ve landed on a castaway island. The style here is simple yet naturally beautiful and there’s everything you need for a tropical reset: there’s a spa, both water and landsports, a DivePoint dive centre and a handful of explorative excursions. Clusters of palm trees extend down to the shoreline and create secluded and shaded bijou beach areas where you can imagine you have the island to yourself.

Choosing between the 96 rooms and 26 bungalows isn’t too taxing; you can opt for a Classic Ocean View Room or Classic Beach View Room which are located on the first or ground floor of two-storey bungalows respectively. Alternatively, there are the Water Villas – an icon of the Maldives – which are located out over the lagoon and have a furnished terrace and fantastic views. All rooms have splashes of tropical tones, are modest in style and are a wonderfully comfortable retreat after a day of intensive relaxing.

Food & drink
The main restaurant is the heart of the resort and is where all of your included meals are served. It’s situated in an open-air building so there’s always a refreshing breeze, and there are plenty of buffet stations where a wide variety of dishes are available. They specialise in fresh seafood, serving up the catch of the day from local islands. The sand-floor Cocktail Bar is the is the place to head for a chilled pre-dinner drink and its al fresco terrace is the best spot to watch the sunset.
The resort’s restaurant is located in an open-air pavilion and has a wide variety of buffet dishes and fresh seafood caught by local fishing communities. The Cocktail Bar the perfect place for sundowners. It has a sand floor and an al fresco overwater terrace. The al fresco Nika Bar and the Coffee Shop are both located at the western tip of the island.

Diving in the Maldives
In the South Malé Atoll, Hukrueli is another place to see rays and cleaner fish, and Maaya Thila, a protected marine area, is home to white-tip sharks, turtles, zebra morays and the elusive guitar shark. Hanifaru lagoon in the Baa Atoll is one of the best places to see whale sharks and manta rays – June to September being the best time as this is during the monsoon season and equinox when the lagoon is filled with plankton. The Scuba Diver course provides pre-entry level certification in three days and on completion you can then upgrade to an Open Water Diver qualification by taking the additional five day course. Our Ten Dives and Six Consecutive Days diving allow qualified divers to make the most of their time in these beautiful islands. Courses are available at Kurumba Maldives, Dhigali Maldives, Velidhu and Meeru.

When is the best time to visit the Maldives?
November to April is the dry season, with the most reliable sunshine and calmest seas. May to October brings shorter rain showers, lower prices and better surf.
What currency is used in the Maldives, and do I need cash?
The local currency is the Maldivian rufiyaa, but resorts price and bill in US dollars and take major cards. Most guests never need cash — a small amount is handy for tipping.
Is the Maldives good for honeymoons outside peak season?
Yes. Off-peak brings noticeably lower rates and quieter islands, and rain tends to come in short bursts rather than all day. Many resorts add honeymoon extras during these months.
What activities are there for older kids and teens in the Maldives?
