Appealing to couples and families alike, this modern seafront hotel is perfect for combining a beach break with visits to Dubrovnik.
When this hotel was built in the 1970s, it claimed a prime spot on the Lapad peninsula, overlooking the Elaphiti Islands and perfectly oriented for superb sunset views. Today, the architecture has been fully updated, ensconcing a large modern hotel with plenty of facilities, including a spa, a collection of restaurants, and a pebble beach from where guests can try watersports and underwater photography. And while parents will enjoy the sun-drenched terraces and luxury touches here, kids can’t fail to be totally bowled over by the massive Maro World, a children’s wonderland of soft play, playgrounds, smart toys and gaming, and trampolines.

The large Premium Buffet Restaurant will likely be a frequented venue during a stay here – the choice is impressive and varied. But for an a la carte lunch or dinner, Miramare delivers. It has a lovely spot down on the beach. Breakfast is served in the buffet restaurant, unless you upgrade to a V Level room so you can have breakfast on the terrace at Momenti.

Do I need a visa to visit the Maldives?

When is the best time to visit the Maldives?
November to April is the dry season, with the most reliable sunshine and calmest seas. May to October brings shorter rain showers, lower prices and better surf.
What currency is used in the Maldives, and do I need cash?
The local currency is the Maldivian rufiyaa, but resorts price and bill in US dollars and take major cards. Most guests never need cash — a small amount is handy for tipping.
Is the Maldives good for honeymoons outside peak season?
Yes. Off-peak brings noticeably lower rates and quieter islands, and rain tends to come in short bursts rather than all day. Many resorts add honeymoon extras during these months.
What activities are there for older kids and teens in the Maldives?
