Bellevue Hotel Lošinj peeks out from a lush forested grove, with only spindly pines interrupting the views of Čikat Bay. Although originally opened in 1967, it underwent a complete makeover in 2014. All clean lines and cubist shapes, this shiny abode is a contemporary addition to the Lošinj hotel scene. The design effectively blurs interior and exterior: communal spaces are flooded with natural light, floor-to-ceiling windows frame forest views, and a central glass-walled atrium is filled with orange and lemon trees.

For something lighter, the elegant Alto Rosso Lounge Bar serves cocktails and Croatian desserts (not together…or maybe together), Azzur Pool Bar is for lounger-side drinks and snacks, and Meridien Beach Bar is a cove-hugging gem fringed by beautifully scented pines.
We love the setting of Beach Bar Meridien. Nestled in the cove of Čikat, surrounded by fragrant centuries old pine trees, it's a great spot for ice cream, cake or cocktails.

Is the Maldives good for honeymoons outside peak season?
