The Guest House at Graceland
This ain’t no Heartbreak Hotel – The Guest House at Graceland embodies southern charm and is woven with an Elvis theme throughout. What’s more, it’s right next door to the Graceland Mansion.
Moments away from Elvis Presley’s Graceland Mansion, The Guest House at Graceland is a resort that celebrates The King throughout. Be prepared for an immersive Elvis experience, with his music playing throughout the hotel and reminders of his successes at every turn. While the décor is indisputably Elvis-inspired and based on the style of his Mansion, within the comfortable guestrooms, the theme is subtle. It certainly doesn’t compromise the quality, which is excellent all-round. If you think the name suggests this is a small hotel – think again. There are over 450 guestrooms within the plantation-style facade, including 20 suites. Large bars, a choice of restaurants, and a beautiful outdoor pool make sure you are entertained here from morning to night. Check what’s showing at the hotel’s theatre during your stay – you might catch live music or a movie. Aside from avid Elvis fans paying homage to the rock n roll legend, expect to see swathes of business-type folk milling about between the vast meeting room facilities. Locally Paid Fees & Taxes: Expect to pay approximately $14 per room per night for hotel resort fees and local taxes.

Elvis is here, of course, along with B.B. King, Howlin’ Wolf, Johnny Cash, and Justin Timberlake, proof that Memphis doesn’t belong to just one era. Through music, film, and sound, it charts how artists pushed past racial and social boundaries to create rock and soul and change the world while they were at it. The journey runs from rural blues and early gospel to the rise of Sun, Stax, and Hi Records, and on to Memphis’s global influence today. A rich digital audio guide, packed with songs, stories, and behind-the-scenes moments, leads you through seven galleries filled with instruments, costumes, and archival footage. • Departs Wednesday to Sunday • Operates year round

Questions? Sorted.
Do I need a visa to visit the Maldives?
British passport holders are issued a free 30-day visitor visa on arrival. You'll need a passport valid for the duration of your stay, a confirmed onward ticket and proof of your accommodation booking.
When is the best time to visit the Maldives?
November to April is the dry season, with the most reliable sunshine and calmest seas. May to October brings shorter rain showers, lower prices and better surf.
What currency is used in the Maldives, and do I need cash?
The local currency is the Maldivian rufiyaa, but resorts price and bill in US dollars and take major cards. Most guests never need cash — a small amount is handy for tipping.
Is the Maldives good for honeymoons outside peak season?
Yes. Off-peak brings noticeably lower rates and quieter islands, and rain tends to come in short bursts rather than all day. Many resorts add honeymoon extras during these months.
What activities are there for older kids and teens in the Maldives?
Most resorts run watersports centres with windsurfing, kayaking and paddleboarding, plus PADI dive courses from around age ten. Snorkelling safaris, sandbank trips and night fishing all suit older children.
