As part of the hotel's all-inclusive package you can enjoy breakfast on the terrace, beachfront dining at the main restaurant which offers themed menus and live music plus authentic coastal Italian cuisine at the newly opened Positano restaurant. Inspired by the cool chic of Miami’s South Beach, the Rilaks Deck is a stylish venue for cocktails and light snacks. At the Sunday beach party you can sample local grilled specialities and dance to the steel pan band.

Food & drink
Start the day with a buffet breakfast featuring local Bajan food, then relax at one of the beachfront restaurants with the Caribbean for a backdrop. There are various themed nights, from a Saturday night barbecue to Asian-inspired menus, and the hotel’s dine-around programme means you can eat at selected sister resorts for no extra cost. Beach ambassadors can also arrange a private beach dinner, if a romantic evening against a backdrop of crashing waves takes your fancy. Please note that currently the dine around options are limited whilst renovations are taking place.
The Sugar Cane Room offers an open-air setting for breakfast, lunch and dinner. Bring the spectacular beach backdrop into your dining experience at 246 Bar & Restaurant – here you can enjoy a premium spot on one of Barbados’s most idyllic beachfronts with themed dining on selected nights. Rilaks Deck is an al fresco poolside lounge area which serves cocktails throughout the day. Room service is also available during regular restaurant hours (subject to delivery charge).
It’s hard to beat the views from 246, and it’s especially magical under a starry night sky.
Sugar Cane Room — The breakfast here is impressive, with a live egg station and waffle chef on hand, while lunch and dinner brings various local delights; try the pumpkin and corn fritters or flying fish with fried plantain for a taste of traditional Bajan fare. 246 Restaurant & Bar — Glittering sea views are the USP at this oceanfront, open-air restaurant, which serves Caribbean-inspired lunch and dinner menus under the stars and hosts regular themed nights. Rilaks Deck & Bar — Inspired by Miami’s South Beach, this outdoor lounge is a stylish spot for cocktails and light snacks, with oversized umbrellas and plush lounge chairs facing the ocean. Positano at the House — Indulge in authentic Italian dishes in the relaxed setting of Positano.

Bajan Street Food Tour
• Duration: half day • Monday-Saturday departures • Operates year round • Group experience Good to know — While every effort will be made to cater for specific dietary requirements, the tour is not suitable for those on gluten-free or vegan diets. Barbados Your Way (Car & Driver) - Full Day
• Duration: 4 hours • Daily departures • Operates year round • Private experience Good to know — You’ll have use of a personal air-conditioned car with a driver for eight hours, but fees to any attractions you decide to visit - and, of course, any refreshments - will be payable locally.

Mount Gay Rum Experience
At the end of the tour you’ll be served a light Bajan-style lunch overlooking the sea, before a final stop at the shop to pick up a bottle to take home. • Duration: half day • Daily departures • Operates year round • Group experience Good to know — Although the tour is open to under 18s, we think it’s more suitable for couples, groups and honeymooners.

Luxury Catamaran Cruise
• Duration: 5 hours • Daily departures • Operates year round • Group experience Good to know — It’s a perfect trip for honeymooners and families alike, but for maximum enjoyment we recommend that any children are old enough to be confident in the water. Be sure to bring enough sun cream, hats and sunglasses for everyone; the sun’s rays reflected on the water are extra strong.

Frequently asked questions
Frequently asked questions
Do I need a visa to visit the Maldives?
British passport holders are issued a free 30-day visitor visa on arrival. You'll need a passport valid for the duration of your stay, a confirmed onward ticket and proof of your accommodation booking.
When is the best time to visit the Maldives?
November to April is the dry season, with the most reliable sunshine and calmest seas. May to October brings shorter rain showers, lower prices and better surf.
What currency is used in the Maldives, and do I need cash?
The local currency is the Maldivian rufiyaa, but resorts price and bill in US dollars and take major cards. Most guests never need cash — a small amount is handy for tipping.
Is the Maldives good for honeymoons outside peak season?
Yes. Off-peak brings noticeably lower rates and quieter islands, and rain tends to come in short bursts rather than all day. Many resorts add honeymoon extras during these months.
What activities are there for older kids and teens in the Maldives?
Most resorts run watersports centres with windsurfing, kayaking and paddleboarding, plus PADI dive courses from around age ten. Snorkelling safaris, sandbank trips and night fishing all suit older children.
