Choose your favourite spot from the wooden swing chairs beneath the shade of a tree, or join the gardener-led Gully Walk to explore the grounds and surrounding forest before swigging from a fresh coconut. If you’re looking to venture beyond the grounds, there’s a free shuttle to the nearby beach and to Speightstown, which is a 10-minute drive away and offers a string of historic attractions to explore. The spa is also a standout, offering romantic couples’ massages, hydrotherapy treatments and other therapies in a lush garden setting.
This charming and intimate Mediterranean-style resort is tucked in peaceful hillside gardens and is perfect for the best of coast and countryside. Choose your favourite spot from the wooden swing chairs and sun loungers – beneath the shade of a tree or by the pool.
Hop on the free shuttle to Little Bristol Beach Bar pub, Nikki Beach, Port St. Charles Marina and Speightstown Open Window. Wear comfy shoes for the Gully Walk, where the gardener takes you on an informative tour of the grounds and surrounding forest before presenting you with a freshly-made coconut drink straight from the trees.
There are two open-air restaurants to choose from here, with plenty of choice and changing menus – enjoy fresh soups, fish including marlin and swordfish and delicious desserts like pineapple upside-down cake with coconut ice cream. Hearty breakfasts and lunches are served at La Salsa Restaurant & Bar with panoramic views over the pool and surrounding greenery, and you can book dinner either here or at Sandy's Chattel Bar, a hidden gem on the edge of the property which is tucked on the hillside and overlooks the forest below. Weather permitting, you can also enjoy international and Caribbean buffet dining by the pool on selected days. Finish the day with a delicious rum-based cocktail at the laid-back bar.
Nestled in tropical flora not far from the sea, this charming hillside retreat combines a laid-back atmosphere with a wonderfully peaceful setting.

Luxury Catamaran Cruise
• Duration: 5 hours • Daily departures • Operates year round • Group experience Good to know — It’s a perfect trip for honeymooners and families alike, but for maximum enjoyment we recommend that any children are old enough to be confident in the water. Frequently asked questions
Frequently asked questions
Do I need a visa to visit the Maldives?
British passport holders are issued a free 30-day visitor visa on arrival. You'll need a passport valid for the duration of your stay, a confirmed onward ticket and proof of your accommodation booking.
When is the best time to visit the Maldives?
November to April is the dry season, with the most reliable sunshine and calmest seas. May to October brings shorter rain showers, lower prices and better surf.
What currency is used in the Maldives, and do I need cash?
The local currency is the Maldivian rufiyaa, but resorts price and bill in US dollars and take major cards. Most guests never need cash — a small amount is handy for tipping.
Is the Maldives good for honeymoons outside peak season?
Yes. Off-peak brings noticeably lower rates and quieter islands, and rain tends to come in short bursts rather than all day. Many resorts add honeymoon extras during these months.
What activities are there for older kids and teens in the Maldives?
Most resorts run watersports centres with windsurfing, kayaking and paddleboarding, plus PADI dive courses from around age ten. Snorkelling safaris, sandbank trips and night fishing all suit older children.
