This sprawling resort backs the soft white sands of Magazine Beach and is a great mix of languorous days and lively activities.
Royalton Grenada is one of those one-size-fits-all resorts. It’s spread out over 30 rolling acres that are home to manicured gardens, a lake and a wealth of facilities for guests both adults and kids. One of the most popular spots is the elevated pool area that separates the two beautiful beaches and has incredible 180-degree sea views that are particularly impressive at sunset. There’s the Royal Spa with a cluster of treatment rooms; a beachside massage under the shade of a covered platform comes highly recommended as does a spot of sunrise yoga.

The dining day begins at Gourmet Marché, the resort’s buffet restaurant where nternational dishes that are created with fresh local ingredients are served. This modern and bright restaurant is also open at lunch and dinner and they also have a special kids buffet. An alternative spot for both lunch and dinner is Grazie Italian Trattoria, an open-air venue that’s close to the water where you can enjoy flavoursome Mediterranean dishes. For food with a French flair, reserve a table for dinner at the sophisticated Ma Maison. The final of the four restaurants is Taj, an Indian eatery that’s open for dinner. If you’re hungry between meals or just seeking a refreshing ice cream or pick-me-up coffee, there’s Scoops Gelato and Caffe Lounge which is open all from 7am until 10pm.
Gourmet Marché is popular with all members of the family due to its range of dishes. There is a dedicated buffet for children as well as healthy options.

Do I need a visa to visit the Maldives?

When is the best time to visit the Maldives?
November to April is the dry season, with the most reliable sunshine and calmest seas. May to October brings shorter rain showers, lower prices and better surf.
What currency is used in the Maldives, and do I need cash?
The local currency is the Maldivian rufiyaa, but resorts price and bill in US dollars and take major cards. Most guests never need cash — a small amount is handy for tipping.
Is the Maldives good for honeymoons outside peak season?
Yes. Off-peak brings noticeably lower rates and quieter islands, and rain tends to come in short bursts rather than all day. Many resorts add honeymoon extras during these months.
