Jade Mountain
An architectural masterpiece
Jade Mountain is a a uniquely designed resort experience that flamboyantly reveal the Pitons and the Caribbean Sea in all of their glory. Most of the open walled sanctuaries feature a private infinity pool and are reached via their own “sky bridge”. Jade Mountain It sits directly above the Anse Chastanet sister resort, and guests are granted access to its two beaches, the restaurants and activities.
Nestled on a hillside with a seamless edge disappearing into the ocean, this exquisite resort-within-a-resort integrates effortlessly with nature and is a hopeless romantic’s dream. The hotel has been innovatively designed above [Anse Chastanet](https://www.kuoni.co.uk/st-lucia/hotels/anse-chastanet "Anse Chastanet") to face outwards over the Pitons – St Lucia’s majestic volcanic plugs – and the coastline, a superb combination made possible by the island’s giddy mountain terrain. Immerse yourself in the stunning surroundings at this boutique hideaway, one of the first buildings anywhere to have swimming pools built on every level, and voted the Number 1 Caribbean Resort in both the Travel + Leisure Magazine and Condé Nast Traveler’s Readers’ Choice Awards.
The Jade Mountain Club combines superb dining with spectacular views. Seasonal menus devised by award-winning chef Allen Susser showcase modern fusion cuisine infused with bold Caribbean flavours. The infinity pool reflects the changing colours of the sky and acoustic musicians add to the relaxing ambience. The Celestial Terrace offers a romantic spot for watching sunsets or stargazing. You can also dine at any of the restaurants at directly adjoining Anse Chastanet, which is just a short walk away and also offers two lovely beaches and non-motorised watersports.

Frequently asked questions
Frequently asked questions
Do I need a visa to visit the Maldives?
British passport holders are issued a free 30-day visitor visa on arrival. You'll need a passport valid for the duration of your stay, a confirmed onward ticket and proof of your accommodation booking.
When is the best time to visit the Maldives?
November to April is the dry season, with the most reliable sunshine and calmest seas. May to October brings shorter rain showers, lower prices and better surf.
What currency is used in the Maldives, and do I need cash?
The local currency is the Maldivian rufiyaa, but resorts price and bill in US dollars and take major cards. Most guests never need cash — a small amount is handy for tipping.
Is the Maldives good for honeymoons outside peak season?
Yes. Off-peak brings noticeably lower rates and quieter islands, and rain tends to come in short bursts rather than all day. Many resorts add honeymoon extras during these months.
What activities are there for older kids and teens in the Maldives?
Most resorts run watersports centres with windsurfing, kayaking and paddleboarding, plus PADI dive courses from around age ten. Snorkelling safaris, sandbank trips and night fishing all suit older children.
