Blue Hole & Dunn's River Falls
Your Jamaican holiday will not be complete without experiencing the hidden fresh flowing waters of the Blue Hole. After being picked up from your resort and taken through the rainforest, you will be guided past the various waterfalls and three natural swimming pools. Climb the cascades and spend the afternoon as Tarzan on the rope swing and splashing your way through the natural pools. Catamaran & Dunn's River Falls
Embark on a journey to see Jamaica's most iconic waterfalls and admire the colourful coral reef along the way. Start off the morning being picked up and transferred to the Marina at Mahogany Beach in Ocho Rios. Here, you will board the catamaran and be greeted by the friendly crew you will spend the day with. Set sail and admire the emerald mountains along the shores of the northern coastline. You'll then reach a perfect spot where the underwater world is thriving with life. Get ready with your snorkel and mask and jump right in to the clear waters to experience a personal view of the subaquatic fauna and flora. After you're finished swimming and snorkeling, hop back onto the catamaran for refreshments whilst you cruise towards the world famous Dunn's River Falls. Disembark the boat at the base of the cascade and walk up the 600-foot-long waterfall with an expert guide leading the way. Climb over the rocks and feel the adrenaline rush of the waterfall splashes. If you're after more of a relaxing experience, you can sunbathe at the foot of the falls and soak up the natural surroundings. Do I need a visa to visit the Maldives?
British passport holders are issued a free 30-day visitor visa on arrival. You'll need a passport valid for the duration of your stay, a confirmed onward ticket and proof of your accommodation booking.
When is the best time to visit the Maldives?
November to April is the dry season, with the most reliable sunshine and calmest seas. May to October brings shorter rain showers, lower prices and better surf.
What currency is used in the Maldives, and do I need cash?
The local currency is the Maldivian rufiyaa, but resorts price and bill in US dollars and take major cards. Most guests never need cash — a small amount is handy for tipping.
Is the Maldives good for honeymoons outside peak season?
Yes. Off-peak brings noticeably lower rates and quieter islands, and rain tends to come in short bursts rather than all day. Many resorts add honeymoon extras during these months.
