Hilton Muscat Al Bandar is the ideal choice for those guests who wish to be in the midst of all the action and plan to make good use of the resort’s extensive facilities. For adults, there is an impressive spa whilst children can take part in the activities at the kids' club. There is plenty to do both on and off the water from snorkelling trips and dolphin watching cruises to mini golf and aerial yoga. After a day of activities there is a good range of dining venues to choose from.

Italian specialities are served alongside fine wines at Capri Court, while Asian dishes can be enjoyed at Chow Mee. There's a total of nine restaurants, bars, cafés and lounges throughout the resort.
At Shangri-La’s Barr Al Jissah Resort & Spa many of the fantastic restaurants are located at Al Bandar, which sits at the centre of the resort. Choose to dine at the Italian eatery Capri Court or Tapas & Sablah where you can enjoy Mediterranean and Asian tapas dishes as well as Middle Eastern mezze dishes. The hotel’s main restaurant Al Tanoor is open for breakfast, lunch and dinner and here you can enjoy a range of Mediterranean, Persian, Indian and Turkish dishes. Situated between Al Bandar and Al Waha is Bait al Bahr, the majestic seafood restaurant where you can not only enjoy unbeatable views of the Gulf of Oman but also the day’s fresh catch prepared with delicious Omani flavours. Those relaxing by the hotel’s extensive free-form pool by day can order light snacks, pizzas and beverages from Circles Pool Bar. Do I need a visa to visit the Maldives?
British passport holders are issued a free 30-day visitor visa on arrival. You'll need a passport valid for the duration of your stay, a confirmed onward ticket and proof of your accommodation booking.
When is the best time to visit the Maldives?
November to April is the dry season, with the most reliable sunshine and calmest seas. May to October brings shorter rain showers, lower prices and better surf.
What currency is used in the Maldives, and do I need cash?
The local currency is the Maldivian rufiyaa, but resorts price and bill in US dollars and take major cards. Most guests never need cash — a small amount is handy for tipping.
Is the Maldives good for honeymoons outside peak season?
Yes. Off-peak brings noticeably lower rates and quieter islands, and rain tends to come in short bursts rather than all day. Many resorts add honeymoon extras during these months.
What activities are there for older kids and teens in the Maldives?
