Expect sunrise buffet breakfasts, fine dining with a Greek twist and four cool beach bars where you can relax and watch the sun dip over the glistening waters.
On a white-washed terrace overlooking the Aegean Sea is the romantic setting of the Xenia Restaurant, in the main Elivi Skiathos Hotel. Expect lavish breakfast buffets with a healthy twist including homemade jams, freshly baked breads, honeys and fruits as well as a full English breakfast service too. Offering both à la carte lunch and dinner there are a variety of menus focusing on Mediterranean dishes and fresh Greek flavours — think risotto, pastas, meats and those famous Greek salads. The waterfront Xenia Beach Restaurant, which is located close to Koukouaries Beach, is open at dinner. Leda and the Swan is the fine dining choice with beautifully prepared dishes fusing traditional Greek with lots of other Mediterranean flavours, and a selection of award winning wines from the hotel’s sommelier. Eclectic Asian cusine and fresh sushi are served at the Japanese restauant, Hagoromo.
Over at the Grace Hotel, there's the poolside Grace Restaurant which is surrounded by olive trees and local foliage. The setting sets the tone for the Mediterranean dishes on offer on the menu. The Nest section of the hotel is home to the Nest Greek Fish Restuarant which - unsurprisingly - specialises in the catch-of-the-day and the Nest Breakfast Restaurant is open daily for an american buffet spread between 7.30 and 11am.
By the pool in the heart of the complex you’ll find gorgeous fish taverna and poolside bar, The Nest Pool Bar and Restaurant, serving everything from shrimp and squid to lobster and shellfish. Inside the hotel is the chic 1960’s inspired Elevate Bar and there are an additional four beach bars; Xenia, Grace, Nest and Black Bird.

Xenia Breakfast Restaurant — Start your day with a visit to Xenia where you can indulge freshly cooked pancakes, waffles, cheese, fruit and cold cuts whilst absorbing the sea views from the terrace. Nest Breakfast Restaurant — Take your pick from the vast breakfast buffet which you can enjoy under the shade of the olive trees. Leda & The Swan Restaurant — Named after the mythological queen who transformed into a white swan, dining here is a memorable experience with traditional Greek and Mediterranean dishes served with a modern twist. Hagoromo Restaurant — Set amongst ponds filled with water-lilies and using different cooking techniques from all over the world, Hagoromo is a steakhouse with a twist. Grace Restaurant — Thatched pergolas and olive trees provide the backdrop for this Italian trattoria-style restaurant. Nest Greek Restaurant — Step into this traditional Greek Taverna for a range of seafood dishes. Elevate Bar Tapas & Cocktail Bar — The main bar in Xenia, has a '60s vibe with music to accompany your drinks. Grace Pool Bar — Positioned between Ambelakia beach and the main hotel, Grace Pool Bar serves coffees, organic teas and a range of international cocktails. Nest Pool Bar — Open during the day for drinks and light snacks at the main pool. Beach Bars — There are four different beach bars serving Koukounaries, Ambelakia, Big and Little Banana beaches.

Do I need a visa to visit the Maldives?

When is the best time to visit the Maldives?
November to April is the dry season, with the most reliable sunshine and calmest seas. May to October brings shorter rain showers, lower prices and better surf.
What currency is used in the Maldives, and do I need cash?
The local currency is the Maldivian rufiyaa, but resorts price and bill in US dollars and take major cards. Most guests never need cash — a small amount is handy for tipping.
Is the Maldives good for honeymoons outside peak season?
Yes. Off-peak brings noticeably lower rates and quieter islands, and rain tends to come in short bursts rather than all day. Many resorts add honeymoon extras during these months.
