Its domed design is inspired by the Venetian Arsenals from Chania’s old port, brought up to date with elegant, airy spaces and sleek, contemporary furnishings. There’s a focus on local exploration here, with a handful of curated experiences to choose from; venture to Chania’s Old Town to glimpse the region’s Venetian influences, visit the local vineyards, fly over the breathtaking Samaria Gorge or dig your toes into the sand and let the blues of the Aegean lull you into a daze; this is a blissful retreat for couples after a romantic escape.
Far removed from Agios Nikolaos and Elounda, Chania is Crete’s second largest city. Bursting with history and heritage, its Old Town’s strong Italian influence and Ottoman, Venetian and Greek architecture has long been popular with culture seekers, but there are some fabulous beaches and a high-end bar scene here, too.
