The atmosphere is cheerful and welcoming, with a fantastic kids’ club and plenty for families to do, yet it’s still stylish enough for couples. Add themed culinary nights and personalised service into the mix, and you’ve got an all-inclusive experience that feels anything but ordinary.

Food & drink
You’ll find two restaurants and three bars, offering plenty of variety – from local Caribbean fare at Drifters to themed nights at Reflections. If you fancy a change of scenery, you can also eat at nearby sister properties Tamarind, Waves Hotel & Spa and Turtle Beach under the resort’s dine-around programme, offering nearly 20 restaurants and bars to choose from in total.
Please note that currently the dine around options are limited whilst renovations are taking place.
The resort’s signature restaurant, Reflections, overlooks the pool and is an elegant venue for breakfast, lunch and dinner with an emphasis on delicious seafood. At breakfast book a table for dinner and during the day head to Drifters – an informal beach bar serving daytime snacks, buffet lunch, afternoon tea and evening meals (weather permitting). With regular themed dinners you can enjoy the island’s renowned seafood and lively atmosphere at the weekly Bajan Fish Fry or try Italian and Mexican specialities. Swim up under a waterfall to the Cave Bar for cocktails and enjoy its unique setting for evening drinks and live calypso or jazz music several nights a week. Vista Coffee & Wine Bar offers signature lattes and specialty coffees plus a variety of wines served with sweet treats and tapas style dishes.
There’s something magical about sipping a cocktail in the atmospheric Cave Bar, named one of the top ten swim-up bars in the world and built into a rock formation with a waterfall guarding the entrance.
Reflections — This open-air restaurant serves an a la carte menu and buffet breakfast with a postcard-pretty ocean backdrop. Expect plenty of local seafood, and head here on a Wednesday for the weekly themed buffet night bringing flavours from around the world. Drifters — This laid-back beach bar serves daytime snacks, buffet lunches and a la carte dinners, with an emphasis on local Caribbean spices. It’s also the place to head for afternoon tea, with sweet and savoury pastries in free flow, and there’s a weekly beach barbecue on Saturday nights. Cave Bar — Swim under a waterfall to order icy daiquiris at this unique swim-up bar, or enjoy a pre-dinner drink at the dry bar as the sun sets. Stick around for live music several nights a week, from calypso to jazz. Vista Coffee and Wine Bar — Signature lattes, specialty coffees, international wines and sweet treats and tapas are the order of the day at this casual spot.

• Duration: 5 hours • Daily departures • Operates year round • Group experience Good to know — It’s a perfect trip for honeymooners and families alike, but for maximum enjoyment we recommend that any children are old enough to be confident in the water. Frequently asked questions
Questions? Sorted.
Do I need a visa to visit the Maldives?
British passport holders are issued a free 30-day visitor visa on arrival. You'll need a passport valid for the duration of your stay, a confirmed onward ticket and proof of your accommodation booking.
When is the best time to visit the Maldives?
November to April is the dry season, with the most reliable sunshine and calmest seas. May to October brings shorter rain showers, lower prices and better surf.
What currency is used in the Maldives, and do I need cash?
The local currency is the Maldivian rufiyaa, but resorts price and bill in US dollars and take major cards. Most guests never need cash — a small amount is handy for tipping.
Is the Maldives good for honeymoons outside peak season?
Yes. Off-peak brings noticeably lower rates and quieter islands, and rain tends to come in short bursts rather than all day. Many resorts add honeymoon extras during these months.
What activities are there for older kids and teens in the Maldives?
Most resorts run watersports centres with windsurfing, kayaking and paddleboarding, plus PADI dive courses from around age ten. Snorkelling safaris, sandbank trips and night fishing all suit older children.
