Beautiful and bijou Cocoâ Cove Resort is a British family-owned hotel of nine one-of-a-kind villas and a huge infinity pool looking out to the Caribbean Sea. Set on a private peninsula in the affluent Fort Jeudy area, you’re nestled between two private beaches. Whilst there’s no restaurant or bar here, chefs are on hand to whip up delicious in-villa meals.

The one-of-a-kind villas are furnished simplistically and enhanced by vibrant art and soft furnishings; picture homely and comfortable and you’ll have Cocoâ Cove Resort. Each of the nine has sea views – some overlook the gardens towards the water while a handful, including the Ocenfront Cliffside One and Two Bedroom Villas are closer to the Caribbean. There are a couple of villas that have a private pool – the Oceanfront Cliffside Private Pool One Bedroom Villa and the Ocean View Luxury Villa Three Bedroom Villa which is perfect for extended families or larger groups.

Food & drink
The hotel specialises in private dining as well as room service and the cuisine at Cocoâ Cove Resort is a mix of international dishes with a Caribbean flair. There’s a poolside gazebo where you can dine al fresco with your family, or you can dine in complete privacy in your villa. There’s the option of hiring a chef who will create mouth-watering dishes with seasonal and locally sourced produce wherever possible at breakfast, lunch and/or dinner.
It’s all about private dining or eating in your villa at 473 Grenada; there’s no restaurant and bar but each of the villas has a full kitchen that you can use. Alternatively, you can hire a chef to take care of the cooking and relax. For a special evening for your group, or a change of scene for you and your partner, there’s the option for a private dining experience undercover by the pool or in the open air with a blanket of stars above. Food during these meals are served family style with platters packed with Mediterranean-inspired delights.

Grenada sits at the southern end of a string of islands known as the Grenadines. This glorious archipelago is known for its beaches, warm seas and historic ruins. Do I need a visa to visit the Maldives?
British passport holders are issued a free 30-day visitor visa on arrival. You'll need a passport valid for the duration of your stay, a confirmed onward ticket and proof of your accommodation booking.
When is the best time to visit the Maldives?
November to April is the dry season, with the most reliable sunshine and calmest seas. May to October brings shorter rain showers, lower prices and better surf.
What currency is used in the Maldives, and do I need cash?
The local currency is the Maldivian rufiyaa, but resorts price and bill in US dollars and take major cards. Most guests never need cash — a small amount is handy for tipping.
Is the Maldives good for honeymoons outside peak season?
Yes. Off-peak brings noticeably lower rates and quieter islands, and rain tends to come in short bursts rather than all day. Many resorts add honeymoon extras during these months.
What activities are there for older kids and teens in the Maldives?
Most resorts run watersports centres with windsurfing, kayaking and paddleboarding, plus PADI dive courses from around age ten. Snorkelling safaris, sandbank trips and night fishing all suit older children.
