Each of the five unique bungalows plays host to Luxury Rooms, Garden Suites and resplendent Master Suites. Each individually decorated room and suite is full of character and charm, as well as antique furnishings – think roll-top baths and four-poster beds. And it is in your room that each day begins with a traditional ‘bed tea’ brought to you by your butler who is also on hand from morning until night to attend to your every request. Being able to wake up in a four-poster bed and step out into your own private slice of greenery are good reasons to choose a Garden Suite.

The ‘Planters’ Lunch’ experience has all the elements of a memorable plush picnic, from the delicious food served in tiffin boxes to the views from the watch hut on the hillside above Dunkeld Bungalow and the (optional) scenic walk there and back.
Restaurant — There’s nothing so ordinary as a menu to accompany the gourmet meals served in each bungalow’s formal dining room (or on the terrace). Instead, the chef will consult you each morning about the day’s possibilities, based on what you like and what’s in season. Bar — Next to the fireplace in the living room, a butler’s table crammed with bottles serves as the bar – much as it probably did when the original occupants lived here.

When is the best time to visit the Maldives?
November to April is the dry season, with the most reliable sunshine and calmest seas. May to October brings shorter rain showers, lower prices and better surf.
What currency is used in the Maldives, and do I need cash?
The local currency is the Maldivian rufiyaa, but resorts price and bill in US dollars and take major cards. Most guests never need cash — a small amount is handy for tipping.
Is the Maldives good for honeymoons outside peak season?
Yes. Off-peak brings noticeably lower rates and quieter islands, and rain tends to come in short bursts rather than all day. Many resorts add honeymoon extras during these months.
