Owned and run by the Garbutt family, Calabash Grenada has been serving up subtle elegance since 1987 and is as delightful as a fondant fancy. Hammocks hover over white sands, yachts rock to the rhythm of the waters and days are spent dozing on sun loungers submerged in the infinity pool or borrowing snorkelling gear and paddle boards. As a Relais & Chateaux hotel, food is a highlight, from fine dining at Rhodes to lip-smackingly good sake and tempura at Izakaya. And all the suites are utterly gorgeous. Nab one with a private pool and you’ll feel like the cat who got the cream.
