Gorgeous garden bungalows
Part of the magnificent Forte Village and with access to seemingly endless facilities, the family-friendly bungalows of Bouganville reflect the local island style. Set a little back from the beach within bougainvillaea-filled gardens, Bouganville is within easy reach of the piazza where many of the resort’s pools, shops, and restaurants are found and most of the evening entertainment takes place.
This family-friendly hotel reflects the local island style and Sardinian way of life. Set between the beautiful Oasis pool and the tennis courts, Bouganville sits in beautifully landscaped gardens giving it a sense of calm. This is the perfect place if you are looking for an active holiday and there are plenty of opportunities to learn new skills at one of the sports academies such as the Real Madrid Football Academy for 4 to 14 year olds and the Netball Academy by Legend, and much more.
The designated restaurant for breakfast is the centrally located Terrazza Oasis. At dinner you will have a choice of restaurants that are included as part of your half board package. These include the Pineta buffet and Sardinian, which serves local specialities.

Food & drink
Breakfast is served at Oasis Terrace, or, for an extra charge, at the Bellavista and Cavalieri Restaurants. Dinner is at La Pineta or Forte Grill, but guests can choose Ristorante Sardo or Ristorante Brasiliano at no extra charge. The other restaurants require reservations and are at a supplement.
We love the concept at Bellavista where the focus is on locally sourced produce with the aim of 'zero kilometre' ingredients.
Oasis Terrace — Start your day with breakfast on the terrace of Oasis. Bellavista — With a focus on local produce, this seasonal restaurant overlooks the sea. When is the best time to visit the Maldives?
November to April is the dry season, with the most reliable sunshine and calmest seas. May to October brings shorter rain showers, lower prices and better surf.
What currency is used in the Maldives, and do I need cash?
The local currency is the Maldivian rufiyaa, but resorts price and bill in US dollars and take major cards. Most guests never need cash — a small amount is handy for tipping.
Is the Maldives good for honeymoons outside peak season?
Yes. Off-peak brings noticeably lower rates and quieter islands, and rain tends to come in short bursts rather than all day. Many resorts add honeymoon extras during these months.
What activities are there for older kids and teens in the Maldives?
