Choose from four restaurants and dine on the hillside or beach. The kitchens source organic produce from the resort’s farm in the Soufrière Hills.
The Treehouse is open for breakfast and dinner and this unique restaurant is made up of two open-air treehouses overlooking the ocean. Enjoy Tropical World Cuisine with favourites such as mahi mahi with ginger root sauce. Vegans and healthy eaters are well catered for at Emerald's at the Piti Piton Lounge which offers a menu of vegan food showcasing organic produce from the resort’s farm in the Soufrière hills. Dinner is served six nights a week and melt-in-the-mouth dishes include apple curry and crispy rain forest calabza gnocchi. For lunch head to Trou au Diable on the beachfront and enjoy appetisers, salads, sandwiches, burgers and Caribbean and Creole specialities while in the evening you can choose from the 'Aspara' Indian-themed menu – a fusion of East Indian and Caribbean cuisine. Every Tuesday the restaurant hosts a Caribbean culinary evening. Light grilled dishes are served at the water’s edge at the casual Trou au Diable Beach Grill six nights a week while the Jungle Beach Bar & Grill offers a casual setting for lunch on Anse Mamin Beach.

Do I need a visa to visit the Maldives?

When is the best time to visit the Maldives?
November to April is the dry season, with the most reliable sunshine and calmest seas. May to October brings shorter rain showers, lower prices and better surf.
What currency is used in the Maldives, and do I need cash?
The local currency is the Maldivian rufiyaa, but resorts price and bill in US dollars and take major cards. Most guests never need cash — a small amount is handy for tipping.
Is the Maldives good for honeymoons outside peak season?
Yes. Off-peak brings noticeably lower rates and quieter islands, and rain tends to come in short bursts rather than all day. Many resorts add honeymoon extras during these months.
What activities are there for older kids and teens in the Maldives?
