Abi d'Oru Beach Hotel & Spa has a laid-back vibe and views of Marinella Bay. A private section of the beach is reached via a short walk through landscaped gardens. There’s a refreshing freeform pool overlooking the gardens and the sheltered turquoise waters of the Golfo di Marinella are ideal for swimming and watersports. The spa is a fantastic addition to the resort, featuring a Turkish steam bath, ice fountain, and relaxation room with salt wall. The lively Costa Smeralda town, Porto Rotondo, is just a short distance away and is well worth a visit if you like to explore your local surroundings while on holiday.

Food & drink
With three restaurants and three bars there is plenty of choice when it comes to dining at Abi d'Oru. A vast breakfast buffet, with freshly made pastries and specialities of the day are served at the popular Mediterraneo Restaurant. Enjoy freshly caught seafood on the beach at Marinella or try a taste of Sardinia with a visit to Tzia Maria. The Bee Happy Menus at each restaurant are for younger members of the family.
The Mediterraneo Restaurant is the resort's main dining venue and a buffet breakfast and dinner are served here each day. The breakfast is a buffet, while at dinner there are appetizer, pastry and fruit buffets and the main course and pudding served to the table. There are tables located in the open-air dining room or on the terrace overlooking the Gulf of Marinella. Lunch is served at the waterside restaurant Marinella. Dishes are served in a buffet style while grilled specialities are cooked to order. For light snacks, quick meals and refreshing drinks head to Lounge Bar Marinella which is also located close to the sea. At Tzia Maria and Bonaria, which has both indoor and outdoor seating you can enjoy traditional Sardinian dishes. There are also three bars including one adjacent to the lobby and one by the pool where you can order coffees, smoothies, fruit, ice creams and aperitifs.
Mediterraneo Restaurant is the hotel's main dining venue and a buffet breakfast and dinner are served here each day. There are tables located in the open-air dining room or on the terrace overlooking the Gulf of Marinella.

Do I need a visa to visit the Maldives?
British passport holders are issued a free 30-day visitor visa on arrival. You'll need a passport valid for the duration of your stay, a confirmed onward ticket and proof of your accommodation booking.
When is the best time to visit the Maldives?
November to April is the dry season, with the most reliable sunshine and calmest seas. May to October brings shorter rain showers, lower prices and better surf.
What currency is used in the Maldives, and do I need cash?
The local currency is the Maldivian rufiyaa, but resorts price and bill in US dollars and take major cards. Most guests never need cash — a small amount is handy for tipping.
Is the Maldives good for honeymoons outside peak season?
Yes. Off-peak brings noticeably lower rates and quieter islands, and rain tends to come in short bursts rather than all day. Many resorts add honeymoon extras during these months.
What activities are there for older kids and teens in the Maldives?
